This Design Team Call ends 15th August 2008 so you’ve got a week to submit your application!

Creative Inkling, LLC is a brand new company set to open both a new brick and mortar store in Peddler’s Village located in Lahaska, PA as well as a new website on August 15th. We have a sound business plan that starts with the ever-important location. Peddler’s Village (peddlersvillage.com) is a great locality that caters to both tourists and locals. The goal here is to cater not only to the consistent scrapbooking/cardmaking hobbyist, but our location puts us in a unique position to attract customers with varying interests allowing us to increase the typical scrapbook store customer base. Non-locals will be encouraged to order from our store website and will have the opportunity to become members of our loyal customer club. The Village is very committed to the success of each individual business. We will be part of a larger marketing campaign that reaches over 200,000 preferred customers every month.

We are looking for 6 individuals who share in the love papercrafting to be a part of this exciting new venture. Your style must be creative and unique. You must be aware of the industry trends and have a willingness to try new things. We are looking for work that makes us stand back and say “WOW”. Each term will be no less than 6 months to start on or approximately on August 15, 2008 (the day our store opens). We may also extend an offer to retain you for additional terms. Requirements

• Name, contact information, a link to your blog, resume or gallery.
• We’d like you to submit at least 3 of your favorite works (scrapbook layout, card,203-D/altered item) (additional works are welcome!)
• A short essay describing yourself, your other hobbies and why you love scrapbooking/cardmaking/papercrafting. You may include in your essay the following:

• What are your creative strengths and weaknesses?
• What are your favorite p roducts, techniques, colors and brands?
• What do you want to get out of your experience as a Design Team member?
• List any design teams you currently participate on as well as past design teams (this does not disqualify you).
• Please list memberships in online scrapbook/crafting communities (forums) in which you are active.

• We’d like to know what your favorite products are and any other ideas you have to help build our business.

Responsibilities

• Be able to come up with new techniques or uses for products included in the monthly kit.
• Create 4-5 items with the kit each month (items include scrapbook layouts, cards, and altered items).
• Include step-by-step instructions for at least two of creations submitted.
• Be willing and able to bring new customers to our site/store.
• All projects should utilize materials in the monthly product package as well as reflect your own unique style.
• We also expect active participation on our website including message boards and in our gallery.
  You will also be expected to contribute to our e-mail newsletter with tips and tricks or an article on a topic relevant to the scrapbooking community.

Design Team perks:

• As a design team member you will receive free products in a monthly package as well as discounts on add ons.
• Bio, photo, image gallery and designation as a Creative Inkling Design Team Member on our website.
• Your work will be displayed prominently in the store and credited to you.
• As part of the Creative Inkling team, you may receive periodic passes to industry tradeshows such as CHA.
• Most samples will be returned after a period of time. If we intend on keeping your sample, we will give you 2 sets of supplies, one for us and another for you to keep.
• You will have the opportunity to submit any proposal for in-store classes, and pending approval, you may be invited to teach at our store.
• Design team members opinions will be sought out and appreciated as an integral part of our business plans.
