A Valentine’s Day Mini-Album
I wish I could take credit for the above layout but I won’t. What I would take credit for is that I know who made it! It’s made by one talented lady, Ria Mojica.
Ria is part of an online scrapbook egroup I belong to. I was fortunate to meet her in person at one of the egroup’s monthly EBs (eyeballs or get-togethers) when I last visited the Philippines and I must say, she is a kindred spirit! Apart from the fact that we are both mad croppers, we are also mad about shopping!
You know what I love about this album apart from the fact that Ria used my favourite paper line, Basic Grey? I love the heartwarming, sentimental and sometimes funny one liners she’ used. One of the one-liners I love most is “You think I’m low maintenance.” Honestly, if I could roll off the floor laughing, I would! I just can so relate! I remember my Husband telling me this BEFORE we got married and now, he’s regretting it! He realised I am NOT low maintenance at all and I admit it!
It was also an honest introspection into of what she loves about her husband (the lucky recipient of this wonderful album!) which clearly showed through her clever one-liners more than any other poem or prose can ever show. For those who get intimidated by the need to write long journalling in their layouts, don’t give in to the pressure. There is no need. Look at what Ria did. The effect on the reader is still the same.
Now, who ever said that Valentine’s Day was just commercial rubbish?
